1. Who we are

Eduvancer is a network of independent academics who collaborate and work as freelancers. For any question about this notice or your personal information, email [email protected].

2. What we collect

• Emails you send us. Your name, email address, organisation, the content of your message and anything you attach, such as a CV when you apply to join the network.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our server records basic request data (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are deleted automatically after about 14 days.

3. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it loads its fonts and scripts from our own server. Our network and security provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from malicious traffic.

4. Why we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare and carry out a project with you (steps before and under a contract).
• To consider your application to join the network (our legitimate interest in finding suitable freelancers, and steps before a contract).
• To keep the website secure (our legitimate interest).

5. Who we share it with

Enquiries are shared only with the freelancers in the network who need them to respond or to work on your project, and with the service providers that run our email and website hosting. We never sell personal information.

6. International transfers

Because our freelancers work in different countries, your information may be accessed from outside your own country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we take appropriate steps to protect it. Ask us if you would like more detail.

7. How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or project, and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you ask us to delete your information earlier, we will, unless we are required to keep it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
